Implementing Changes to the Liturgy

Vatican II Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, in renewing the liturgy, called for a full and active participation of the faithful in the liturgical life of the parish community. In so doing, the Church called for greater inclusion of the laity in the various liturgical roles that are an important part of the liturgy.

Moreover, this liturgical renewal also provided for a greater variety of ways in which the liturgical life is celebrated during the course of the Church’s liturgical year. In order to accomplish this, many parishes have established a representative group of parishioners to assist the pastor in planning and coordinating the overall liturgical life of the parish. This is the foundation of the Parish Liturgy Committee.

Information about the ongoing updates to the Liturgy will be posted here.
