The links are now up to see me and the other priests doing the Friday Night Faith Life talks.
We recorded them, and they are up on youtube or you link to them on the diocesan website. Please check it out especially if you want to see the previous two before tonight’s talk, Friday, January 27.
This post marks the launch of a number of updates to the St. Anthony’s Parish website. New features are described below:
As before, weekly bulletins are available on the bulletins page.
General Instruction of the Roman Missal: The revised Roman Missal takes effect the beginning of Advent, Sunday, November 27, 2011. Information and education regarding the what and why changes will be taking place for the next three weekends at Mass. If you have any questions or concerns please write Fr. James Hagel.
A ‘Book of the Dead’ will be in the Church for the month of November. Please write the names of your loved ones in the book, and they will be remembered in prayer during the November Masses.
We are presently in need of ‘Committed Adorers’ to fill the current vacant hours. If you can commit to one hour a week please sign up on the main schedules either outside the Chapel door of in the parish breezeway.
St. Anthony’s Bible Study group invites our parish family to join us this fall as we examine the Acts of the Apostles. The excitement of that first Pentecost enlivened the early believers in their struggles to establish communities of faith—struggles surprisingly like those we are experiencing in our parishes today. The better we understand what the first believers went through, the better we shall be able to understand our faith today. What better way than to meet two of the early Church’s most significant leaders in the persons of Peter and Paul. To understand their experiences will help us understand our experiences.
On Wednesday, May 25, 2011 the daily English Mass will be celebrated at 9 AM. There will be NO 7 PM Mass.
Please make note that the 9 AM English Mass on Sunday, May 8th, 2011 is canceled. The reason for this is that the Forzani’s Mothers Day Run and Walk has been assigned a new route which begins and ends at Chinook Center. The change to the route means that access to and from St. Anthony’s Church is unavailable completely between 8:30 and 10 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and will look into the event planning for next year.
