Ash Wednesday
Wednesday, February 22nd is Ash Wednesday. A day of fast and abstinence. Masses will be celebrated at 9 AM, 11:35 AM Latin, and 7 PM.
Latin Mass
Latin Mass will begin at 6:30 PM on Friday’s during Lent.
Stations of the Cross
Stations of the Cross will be prayed in the Church every Friday during Lent beginning at 7:30 PM
Children’s Liturgy
Classes begin again this Sunday, January 15, at the 10:30 AM Mass. Children 3 – 5 yrs. and 1 – 8 yrs. are invited to arrive early and gather at the entrance to the church.
Sacramental Preparation
Registration forms for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are now available. View forms above; pick one up at the Church Entrance or call the parish office. Reconciliation Preparation begins Jan. 22, 2012.
Angel Tree Gifts
Please remember to return your Angels along with the gift by December, 12, 2011 so that they can be delivered to the assigned recipients. If you cannot provide a gift and have taken an Angel from tree please return it immediately or call the parish office with the details.
St. Anthony’s Pantry
If you can volunteers to help with the gift sorting; hamper filling; hamper delivery etc. please contact: 403-252-6658 or email the parish office with date, time and preferred project.
Website Updates
This post marks the launch of a number of updates to the St. Anthony’s Parish website. New features are described below:
- The news system has been upgraded to allow comments, and the Pastor’s Blog is now online
- A photo gallery has been created
- Forms are now available online
- Members of the pastoral team may be emailed directly from the website

G.I.R.M.
General Instruction of the Roman Missal: The revised Roman Missal takes effect the beginning of Advent, Sunday, November 27, 2011. Information and education regarding the what and why changes will be taking place for the next three weekends at Mass. If you have any questions or concerns please write Fr. James Hagel.
Book of the Dead
A ‘Book of the Dead’ will be in the Church for the month of November. Please write the names of your loved ones in the book, and they will be remembered in prayer during the November Masses.
