Pews, Carpet and Sound System
As we have indicated earlier these areas and some others have been requiring maintenance, improvements and replacements. Most of the work on the sound system has been completed, and we have received three quotes and samples of work for refinishing the pews.
We have chosen a tender of $43,000 to have the pews re-finished. This is the medium price but we believe it is the best sample. If you wish to see it, check the second last short pew on the south side of the Church.
We are settling on the carpet and we are trying to coordinate the work on the pews with the work on the carpet. The work on the pews will likely begin this coming week when a number of pews will be removed for a week of so.
With regard to the sound system, we are waiting for sound absorbing panels to be installed to moderate the sound echo which exists in our church. Your patience and interest will be appreciated.
